The Small Business Expos is Under New Ownership

After eight years at the helm, Paula Brand has moved on to other pursuits and Dennis Hall from Ausbizlinks is the new owner.

Whilst not much is going to change about the structure of the Expos there will be some additions and improvements.

The first noticeable change is in the name – “Small Business Expos” is now “Business & Jobs Expos” as this more accurately describes what, in essence, our Expos are about – promoting businesses and creating jobs.

The second change is that we have even more activity planned for each Expo – with each designed to provide both our Exhibitors and visitors even more value from participation. Some of these additions include:

The Business Lounge – a “no sell” zone where Exhibitors and visitors alike can mingle, chill out for a while and have conversations with each other on trends and pressing issues in the local business community

Tech Hub – where you can update yourself on the latest tech trends with industry experts on hand

Inception Start Up Lounge - A safe space for job seekers, bootstrap startups, small and micro businesses to connect, collaborate and identify support options so that they are able to grow, develop and prosper

And, of course, we retain some of our old favourites like;

Headshot Hub – update your business headshot image (still free!)

Business Briefings - A series of 45 minute mini workshops (run each hour between 10.30am and 2.30pm – finishing by 3.30pm)

Speed networking – Completely redesigned based on past participant feedback to make the activity even more impactful but slightly less chaotic

Over the last eight years our Expos can boast more than 20,000 visitors and 3,000 Exhibitors benefiting from generated sales in excess of $20 million! If you’re in business and want to stay in business, you can’t afford not to be there!

There are some real advantages to exhibiting at business expos & trade shows – the most obvious one being the potential to generate sales on the day.

Do you hear small business owners say, “I can’t take time off”, and “don’t you know how hard it is to get good staff?”. To answer the last question, no, I don’t know what that is like. Why?...
